Ideation & Initial Sketch.

The concept involved creating a distinctive calligraphy-inspired font that deviates from traditional calligraphic features. The font was hand-drawn using a calligraphy brush while intentionally omitting the fluid and flowing characteristics typically associated with calligraphy. The initial design process took place on a 6 x 4cm paper canvas.

Tracing.

The font tracing process was conducted on Illustrator, utilizing the pen tool to meticulously recreate the necessary elements of the font.

Conversion.

After completing the tracing phase, each individual alphabet was saved separately as an SVG file. These SVG files were subsequently exported to the font editor software, FontForge, where further adjustments and scaling were applied to achieve the desired proportions and consistency within the font.
